This week is what the garden is asking for. A bed is a grid of 30 cm squares you drag a planting onto. The crop library says how each vegetable is grown. And Site holds the two frost dates every other date is computed from — there is not a month name anywhere in it.

Sow, plant out, harvest — every job traces back to a date stored on a planting. Tick one off and it stays ticked, even if you change the planting afterwards.

Every bed is a rectangle of 30 cm squares. Drag across them to fill a block; squares another planting holds can't be taken, and the count says roughly how many plants that is.

Spacing, sowing method and days to maturity come from a hand-authored library. Pick a crop and its dates fall out of your frost dates — not out of a generic calendar.
Two dates, and the rest follows
Your last spring frost and your first autumn frost. Nothing is stored as a month, so a plot whose season runs October to May works exactly the same way as one that runs April to November.
It only tells you
what it knows.
Every date on the screen traces back to a frost date you set and a spacing the crop library states. Nothing is guessed, and nothing is invented to fill a quiet week.
No month names anywhere
Every date in the library is a day offset from your last frost, your first frost, or next spring's. A grower in Yorkshire and a grower in Otago run the same arithmetic on different numbers.
It never invents a job
There are no watering or feeding reminders. The crop library holds no watering data on purpose — a guessed cadence is exactly the nagging that drives people off other planners.
A ticked job stays ticked
Change a planting and the jobs it implies are rebuilt — except the ones you had already done. That happened, and deleting it would rewrite the record. A garden's history is not a cache.
