DelaywiseDelay Repay checker for iPhone

Support

Answers to what people ask about Delaywise, and a form to write to us.

What you need

  • An iPhone with iOS 26 or later.
  • Trains on the National Rail network in Great Britain. Delaywise reads National Rail Enquiries’ historical running data, so a journey can be checked once its record is published.
  • An internet connection to check journeys. Your journeys, tickets and claims are on your iPhone, so you can read them, copy a claim pack and export without one.
  • The app is in English, on the UK App Store.

Questions

A journey says Not checked yet

National Rail Enquiries hasn’t published its running record yet. Delaywise checks again whenever you open it, when you tap Check now, and with Plus in the morning check. If there’s still no record after seven days, it says “No record found” and names the company to check with; the claim-by date still shows.

It says “Can’t reach the running records right now”

Delaywise couldn’t reach our server, or the data behind it, usually because of the connection. Your journeys stay as Not checked yet, never on time, and it tries again later.

Why is there no amount on a late journey?

An amount appears only on a day you said you took the train, with a ticket saved that covers that date. There’s none when the train was under the company’s threshold (for example 14 minutes on a company that pays from 15), when the company’s page gives no figure for your kind of ticket (Delaywise shows the lateness and says so), when you chose “Another season”, or, on a flexi season, until you say you used a flexi travel day.

It won’t let me answer a day

A day opens for an answer once its train is due to have arrived, and closes seven days after its date; a new journey’s first look stays open for 24 hours. You can only have been on one train in each direction a day on a ticket, so change the other day’s answer first. On an 8-day flexi, a ninth travel day in its 28 days isn’t accepted.

How do I make a claim?

Open the claim pack from the day, copy each detail into your train company’s form with its Copy button, share your proof, and send the claim on the company’s own form. Then mark it as filed in Delaywise. Delaywise never sends anything to a train company for you.

Reminders or questions don’t arrive

Turn on Day-21 reminders in Delaywise’s Settings, and check that notifications are allowed in Settings › Notifications › Delaywise. The morning check (Plus) also needs Background App Refresh, in Settings › General › Background App Refresh; iOS decides exactly when it runs. Every question and claim-by date also shows in Today.

How do I get Delaywise Plus, restore it or cancel it?

Plus is offered when you add a second journey, a connection or a one-off trip, answer “A different train” on your free journey, or turn on the morning check. If you’ve bought it before, tap Restore Purchases in Settings. Manage or cancel it from Manage subscription in Settings, or in Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

I deleted my free journey. Can I have another?

No: the free journey is the first one you save, and deleting it doesn’t give another. You can edit its time and ticket at any time, and its stations until one of its days has been answered Yes.

The amount isn’t what my train company paid

Delaywise shows an estimate from the company’s published rules; the company works out the final amount and decides every claim. When it pays, mark the claim Paid with the amount it paid.

How do I move to a new iPhone, or delete my data?

There’s no iCloud sync. Restoring your new iPhone from a backup of the old one brings Delaywise’s data with it, and Export claims in Settings gives you a spreadsheet file of every claim. To delete your records, use Settings › Delete all data; deleting the app removes everything.
