Delaywise Delay Repay checker for iPhone

Terms of use

The licence agreement for Delaywise and Delaywise Plus, between you and Mirentha Ltd.

Last updated: 25 October 2026

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Mirentha Ltd (“Mirentha”, “we”, “us”) for the Delaywise app for iPhone (“the app”). The agreement is between you and Mirentha only, and not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”). Mirentha, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content. By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms.

2. Licence

We give you a non-transferable licence to use the app on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/), including Family Sharing where those rules allow it. Delaywise Plus isn’t shared through Family Sharing. You may not copy the app (except as those Usage Rules allow), modify it, distribute it, sell it, or reverse-engineer it, except as the law allows.

3. What Delaywise does, and what it doesn’t

Delaywise shows information from National Rail Enquiries’ historical running data and each train company’s published Delay Repay rules. Amounts are estimates; your train company decides every claim. Only claim for journeys you made. Delaywise never makes a claim for you.

  • An amount is shown as “about £x” because your train company works out the final amount. It follows the company’s published rules as we compiled them, from each company’s own page, with the date we checked it; companies change their rules, and their decision is the one that counts.
  • You confirm each journey yourself. Answer only for trains you were on: a claim for a train you weren’t on is fraud.
  • You fill in and send each claim on your train company’s own form, and make the declaration there. Delaywise never submits, fills in or emails anything to a train company, never asks for your log-ins or your bank, card or PayPal details, and takes no fee or share of any compensation.
  • A journey can be checked only once National Rail Enquiries has published its running record. Until then it shows Not checked yet, never on time. A record can be missing or wrong, and close to a band’s edge the app asks you to check the arrival time yourself.
  • Delaywise isn’t affiliated with National Rail, the Rail Delivery Group or any train company. Its train times are “Powered by National Rail Enquiries”.
  • Delaywise depends on National Rail Enquiries’ data feed. If that feed is withdrawn, or changes so that the app can no longer check journeys, we’ll tell Delaywise Plus subscribers in the app, with at least 30 days’ notice where we have it.
  • You’re responsible for the journeys, tickets and files you enter, and for keeping your own proof of purchase.

4. Purchases

The app is free to download. With no time limit and nothing to pay, it checks one saved journey (one train, without a connection): its first look at the last 28 days, the daily question, checks whenever you open the app, amounts, claim-by dates, day-21 reminders, claim packs, Claims and the export.

Delaywise Plus is an auto-renewable subscription in two plans: Plus Monthly, £1.99 a month, and Plus Annual, £14.99 a year. These are the UK App Store prices; the App Store shows each buyer the current price, in their own currency, before they confirm. There is no free trial. Plus checks every journey you save, in both directions, with connections and one-off trips; measures a delay from the train you caught after a cancellation or a missed connection; and runs the morning check.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
  • The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal, at the plan’s current price, within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple Account’s subscription settings (Settings › your name › Subscriptions, or Manage subscription in the app’s Settings).
  • If a free trial is ever offered, any unused part of it is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
  • If Plus ends, everything you recorded stays, the export keeps working and your free journey is still checked (as one train, without a connection). Other journeys’ days can still be answered but are no longer checked.
  • Restore Purchases is in the app’s Settings. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

5. Maintenance and support

Mirentha alone is responsible for maintaining and supporting the app, as described on its support page (https://mirentha.com/apps/delaywise/support/). Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app.

6. Warranty

Mirentha is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any, of the app to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty are Mirentha’s sole responsibility. Your statutory rights as a consumer in the UK are not affected.

7. Product claims

Mirentha, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app or your possession or use of it, including product liability claims, any claim that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.

8. Intellectual property

If a third party claims that the app or your possession and use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, Mirentha, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim. National Rail Enquiries and the names of train companies belong to their owners and are used only to describe the data and the rules the app shows.

9. Legal compliance

You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country that is subject to a US Government embargo, or that has been designated by the US Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

10. Third-party terms

You must comply with any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, such as your mobile data agreement. Your train company’s own terms and Delay Repay rules apply to every claim you make.

11. Third-party beneficiary

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept them, Apple has the right, and is deemed to have accepted the right, to enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

12. Liability and governing law

To the extent the law allows, Mirentha isn’t liable for a train company’s decision on any claim, for a claim made late or not at all, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t be limited or excluded under the laws of England and Wales. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without taking away any right you have to bring a claim where you live.

13. Contact

Mirentha Ltd, 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. For questions, complaints or claims about the app, email [email protected], or use the form on the support page (https://mirentha.com/apps/delaywise/support/).

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the app or the law changes. The date at the top shows the last change. If a change matters to you, we’ll say so on this page before it takes effect. Our website’s own terms are at https://mirentha.com/terms.html.
