RideplotTheme park planner
Privacy policy
Your group, their heights and your plans stay on your iPhone. Here is everything the app stores, the one kind of request it makes, and what happens to it.

Who we are
Rideplot is made by Mirentha Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17207914), at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. For anything about privacy, write to [email protected].
The short version
- Your group, each child's height and your planned days are kept on your iPhone. Mirentha never receives them.
- To show waits, the app asks Rideplot's server for one park's data at a time. The request carries the park, not you: no account, name or device ID.
- Rideplot's server keeps no log of requests and stores no IP address.
- There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and no third-party code in the app.
- Purchases go through Apple, and Mirentha never sees your payment details.
What the app keeps on your iPhone
Your group
For each person you add: an optional nickname (it can be anything; without one the app says "Child 1" or "Adult 1"), whether they're an adult or a child, each child's height and its unit as you typed it, and whether each adult rides. The app uses heights only on your iPhone: to show each child beside each ride's listed limits, to say when a ride needs a riding adult, and to keep a ride where a child is borderline from being the first in a plan. It never asks for a date of birth, weight or size. If a nickname is your child's name, it stays on your iPhone with everything else here.
Your days
For each day you plan: the park, the date, your arrive, leave and lunch times, the rides you ticked and any queue-skip tickets, the plan's steps, and on the day, which rides you marked done, skipped or closed, the time of each done or closed, and the posted wait when a ride was done.
Copies of park data
The last copy of each park's rides, posted waits, opening hours and usual waits, with the time it was fetched, so the app still works on a poor signal. This is park data, not data about you, and each copy is replaced by the next.
Settings
A few small settings: which day is your free day, the unit you enter heights in, how you sort the waits list, which renewal reminder you dismissed, and how many times you've tapped Plan or Re-plan, and the app version Apple's rating prompt was last asked for in (so it is asked at most once a version).
All of this is stored by the app on your iPhone. It isn't synced to iCloud by Rideplot, but like other app data it is included in your iPhone's own backups, to iCloud or your computer, if you make them.
What leaves your iPhone
Requests for park data
To show waits, opening hours and usual waits, the app asks Rideplot's own server (at api.mirentha.com) for one park's data at a time. The request names the park and the app, and carries the standard details any iPhone app's web request has, such as the iOS version and your language. It carries no account, name, device ID, location or anything from your group or your days.
The server runs on Cloudflare, our hosting provider, so like any web request it reaches Cloudflare with your IP address. Cloudflare handles it under its privacy policy and is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension, as the site's privacy policy sets out; its own technical logs are kept under its retention policies, typically for no more than 72 hours. Rideplot's server itself keeps no log of requests and stores no IP address. To stop it being overloaded, it counts requests from each IP address over a minute, in memory only, and forgets them. Our lawful basis for that brief handling is our legitimate interest in keeping the service working.
The server gets the parks' posted waits from ThemeParks.wiki and records them, every five minutes while a park is open, to work out usual waits. That record is park data only: nothing about anyone using the app is in it, and your iPhone never contacts ThemeParks.wiki itself.
Apple
Rideplot Plus is bought, renewed, restored and managed through Apple. Mirentha never sees your payment details; the app only checks with Apple whether Plus is active. Mirentha receives Apple's sales reports, which don't identify you. Apple's rating prompt is Apple's, and Mirentha never learns what you chose. Apple's handling of this is covered by Apple's privacy policy. If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers (Settings, Privacy & Security, Analytics & Improvements), Apple may share crash reports and usage statistics with us.
Things you share yourself
"Export my days" in Settings makes a spreadsheet file of your planned days (date, park, each ride in order with its time, expected wait and status) and "Share plan" sends a day's plan as text. Each goes only where you send it with the share sheet. Neither includes your group or their heights.
Links
Links in the app (ThemeParks.wiki, a park's height guide, these pages) open in your browser only if you tap them, and are covered by those sites' own policies.
The Demo day
The Demo day replays one recorded day of a park's posted waits that is built into the app. It runs on your iPhone, is never saved to your days, and sends nothing.
Keeping and deleting your data
What the app stores stays on your iPhone until you delete it. To delete a day, swipe left on it on the main Rideplot screen. To remove a person, swipe left on them in your group. Deleting the app deletes everything it stored. Rideplot asks for no permissions, so there are none to change.
Your rights
Because Mirentha holds no personal data from the app, there is usually nothing of yours for us to find, correct or delete. If you write to us (with the support form or by email), we keep your message only to reply to you, as the site's privacy policy describes. Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to the processing of, and move your personal data. Write to [email protected]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
Rideplot is made for parents and other adults planning a day out, not for children. A parent may enter a child's height and an optional nickname, which stay on the parent's iPhone; Mirentha never receives them.
Changes to this policy
If Rideplot starts handling data differently, we'll update this policy before the change reaches the app, and the date at the top will change.
