CrownwindSeconds a day and service log

Terms of use

The licence agreement for Crownwind: its plans, how renewal works, and what its measurements are.

Last updated: 17 October 2026

1. This agreement

These terms are a licence agreement between you and Mirentha Ltd (“Mirentha”, “we”) for the Crownwind app, and not with Apple. Mirentha, not Apple, is solely responsible for Crownwind and its content. By downloading or using Crownwind you accept these terms.

2. Your licence

We give you a non-transferable licence to use Crownwind on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions. Crownwind may also be used by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing, where that applies; Crownwind Plus isn’t shared through Family Sharing. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or lease the app, or try to extract its source code, except where the law allows it.

3. Plans and purchases

Measuring is free on two watches: unlimited syncs, rates, charts and export, with no time limit. Crownwind Plus adds every watch you own, the service log with its reminders, and position averages. It is an auto-renewing subscription in two plans:

  • Crownwind Plus Monthly: £1.99 a month.
  • Crownwind Plus Annual: £12.99 a year.

These are the UK prices; the App Store shows you the price in your own currency before you confirm. There is no free trial.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
  • The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple Account’s subscription settings (Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions), or from Manage Subscription in Crownwind’s Settings.
  • Restore Purchases, in Crownwind’s Settings, restores an active subscription on a new or reset iPhone.
  • If Plus ends, nothing you’ve recorded is hidden or deleted, and export keeps working. Your two most recently synced watches keep syncing; syncing the others, adding services and scheduling new reminders need Plus again.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com.

4. Maintenance and support

Mirentha alone is responsible for providing maintenance and support for Crownwind, at mirentha.com/apps/crownwind/support/. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to provide any maintenance and support services for the app.

5. Warranty

Mirentha is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If Crownwind fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any, for the app to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty are Mirentha’s sole responsibility. Your statutory rights as a consumer in the UK are not affected.

6. Product claims

Mirentha, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to Crownwind or your possession and use of it, including: product liability claims; any claim that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation.

7. Intellectual property

If a third party claims that Crownwind, or your possession and use of it, infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights, Mirentha, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.

8. Legal compliance

You confirm that you are not located in a country that is subject to a US Government embargo, or that has been designated by the US Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

9. Third-party terms

You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using Crownwind, such as your mobile data or Wi-Fi provider’s agreement.

10. Apple as third-party beneficiary

Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept them, Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

11. Using Crownwind

Crownwind records measurements you make by hand. They are estimates, not a certification of any watch, and may be wrong. Decisions about servicing or regulating a watch are yours and your watchmaker’s.

  • A rate depends on how precisely you tap and on the time between syncs; every rate is shown with its range. “Within your target” and “Outside your target” compare the rate with the range you chose, and are not a judgement on the watch.
  • Service dates come from the interval you choose. A reminder says a service is due by your interval, not that the watch needs one, and reminders can’t arrive while notifications are turned off.
  • You’re responsible for what you enter, and for keeping copies of records that matter to you; Crownwind writes a weekly backup and can export your records at any time.

12. Liability and governing law

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mirentha is not liable for any indirect, special or consequential loss, or for loss arising from decisions you make about a watch using Crownwind’s measurements. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of England and Wales. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. Your statutory rights are not affected.

We may update these terms, for example when the app changes. The new terms apply from the date shown at the top of this page; if a change is significant, we’ll say so in the app’s release notes.
