TallyshiftLog shifts, check your payslip

How Tallyshift compares

What sets it apartType the hours printed on your payslip and Tallyshift shows the difference against your own record of the shifts you worked, free.

Coming soon to the App Store, Tallyshift keeps your own record of the hours you work and checks it against your payslip: type in its hours and see the difference. Clocking, breaks, templates and every total are free for one job, with no ads or account.

Why choose Tallyshift

  • A payslip check, free. Log your shifts as you work them; on payday, choose the dates your payslip covers and type the hours printed on it (if it splits basic, nights and overtime, add them up). Tallyshift shows the difference.
  • Free for one job, for good. Clocking in and out, breaks, shift templates, every hours total, CSV export and backups, with no ads.
  • Your usual week in one tap. Save your regular shifts as a template and add the whole week at once. Clock in from Siri, Shortcuts or the Action button on newer iPhones.
  • No account and no tracking. Your record stays on your iPhone and in your own iCloud, with every edit kept on the shift and printed in exports.

What you pay. One job costs nothing, with no ads. Tallyshift Plus, £9.99 a year or £1.49 a month, adds a second job (with its own record and payslip check), your own rates for nights, weekends and overtime with an estimated gross, and PDF timesheets. Work Log’s Pro, £8.49 a year, removes its adverts and adds more jobs and PDF timesheets.

Another app may suit you better if

  • you want a rota read from a photo or PDF, or an iPad: Work Log does both (rota imports after the first need Pro)
  • you want tax and take-home pay estimated: wac (with Premium) and Work Log do that; Tallyshift never calculates tax
  • you want the lowest yearly price for more than one job: Work Log’s Pro is £8.49 a year

What people ask of work-hours apps, and what Tallyshift does

Keep the basics free

A common complaint about work-hours apps is basics moving behind a paywall. Tallyshift keeps clocking, templates, every hours total, CSV export and backups free for one job, for good.

Pay rules that match the contract

People ask for night rates, overtime and half-hour precision that match how they’re paid. Tallyshift counts every minute and, with Plus, takes your own overtime, night, weekend and bank-holiday rates; a pay rise starts on its date and never changes past weeks.

Questions

Is there a work hours app that checks my payslip?

Tallyshift does, free: type the hours printed on your payslip and the dates it covers, and it shows the difference against your own record, in hours. wac lists a comparison of pay rather than hours.

Which work hours tracker works without an account?

Tallyshift needs no account and syncs through your own iCloud. Work Log needs a sign-in to sync, and wac keeps your data on its servers under an account.

Can I clock in with Siri or the Action button?

With Tallyshift, yes: say “Clock in with Tallyshift”, or run it from Shortcuts or the Action button on newer iPhones. We didn’t find this listed for wac or Work Log on 19 October 2026.

How much is Tallyshift?

It’s coming soon to the App Store: free for one job with no time limit, and Plus is £1.49 a month or £9.99 a year, with no free trial.
