TallyshiftLog shifts, check your payslip

Terms of use

The licence agreement between you and Mirentha for the Tallyshift app, with the terms of its subscription.

Last updated: 17 October 2026

1. This agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Mirentha Ltd ("Mirentha", "we", "us") for the Tallyshift app for iPhone ("the app"). The agreement is between you and Mirentha only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Mirentha, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.

By downloading or using the app you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, please don't use the app.

2. Your licence

Mirentha gives you a non-transferable licence to use the app on any Apple-branded product that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/), including use by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing where those rules allow it.

You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, rent, lend or redistribute the app, except where the law allows it.

3. What it costs

The app is free to download and free to use for one job, with no time limit: clocking in and out, breaks, Siri, Shortcuts and the Action button, templates, shifts added by hand, every hours total, the payslip check, CSV export, backups and iCloud sync.

Tallyshift Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription. It adds more than one job, your own rates and premiums (with premium hours and an estimated gross for each period) and a PDF timesheet for each period. It comes in two forms:

  • Tallyshift Plus Monthly: £1.49 a month
  • Tallyshift Plus Annual: £9.99 a year

These are the UK prices. The App Store shows you the price in your own currency before you confirm. There is no free trial, and Tallyshift Plus isn't shared through Family Sharing.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple Account's subscription settings (on your iPhone: Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions), or from Manage subscription in the app's Settings.

If Tallyshift Plus ends, nothing you've recorded is hidden or deleted. Your shifts, totals, payslip checks and saved rates stay, CSV export keeps working, and each period keeps its premium hours and estimated gross from the rates already saved. Editing rates and premiums, making new PDF timesheets and clocking in on more than one job stop until you subscribe again.

Refunds are handled by Apple: you can ask for one at https://reportaproblem.apple.com. If Apple refunds a subscription, Tallyshift Plus ends. Restore Purchases, in the app's Settings, brings back a subscription you already have under the same Apple Account.

4. Information, not advice

Tallyshift is a personal record of the hours you enter. Its totals and estimates may be wrong; it isn't advice, a payroll service or an employer's record. Check anything that matters with your employer, Acas or Citizens Advice.

In particular:

  • The app adds up the hours you clock or enter by the rules set out in "How Tallyshift calculates" on the support page (https://mirentha.com/apps/tallyshift/support/).
  • The estimated gross is your hours multiplied by the rates you entered, before tax, National Insurance, pension and other deductions. It isn't your pay, and it doesn't check minimum wage or holiday pay.
  • The payslip check compares hours, never money, and draws no conclusion. A difference can come from the dates covered, breaks, rounding or clock changes; your payroll team can explain it.
  • The app never calculates tax, National Insurance, pension, student loan or take-home pay, and doesn't check whether any break or working-time rule has been met.
  • You're responsible for what you record, notes included. Please don't add patients' or clients' details to a note.
  • The app writes a weekly backup and lets you export your record at any time, but no app or device can be guaranteed never to lose data. Keep a copy somewhere of your own.

5. Maintenance and support

Mirentha alone is responsible for providing maintenance and support for the app, as described on the support page (https://mirentha.com/apps/tallyshift/support/) and as the law requires. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to provide any maintenance or support services for the app.

6. Warranty

To the extent any warranty applies to the app and isn't excluded by law, Mirentha alone is responsible for it. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the app, if any, to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app, and any other losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be Mirentha's sole responsibility.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer in the UK.

7. Product liability and other legal matters

Mirentha, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any complaint, demand or legal action by you or any third party relating to the app or your possession and use of it, including: (a) product liability; (b) any allegation that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (c) anything arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation.

8. Intellectual property

If a third party alleges that the app, or your possession and use of it, infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Mirentha, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that allegation.

9. Embargoes and restricted parties

You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a US Government embargo, or that has been designated by the US Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (ii) you are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

10. Third-party terms

You must comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the app, such as your mobile data or wireless service agreement.

11. Apple as third-party beneficiary

You and Mirentha acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and that, once you accept them, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

12. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that can't be limited or excluded by law.

Subject to that, Mirentha isn't liable for any loss that wasn't reasonably foreseeable, for any business loss, or for decisions you make based on the app's totals, estimates or payslip check. Our total liability to you in connection with the app is limited to the amount you paid for Tallyshift Plus in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to it.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the app changes. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If a change matters to how you use the app, we'll say so on this page before it applies.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
