PackcastPacking lists for iPhone, by Mirentha

Packcast terms of use

The licence agreement for the Packcast app: what you may do with it, how Packcast Plus works, and who is responsible for what.

Last updated: 14 October 2026

1. The agreement

These terms are the licence agreement for the Packcast app for iPhone ("the app"). They are an agreement between you and Mirentha Ltd ("Mirentha", "we", "us") only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Mirentha, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content. By downloading or using the app you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, don't use the app.

2. Your licence

We give you a non-transferable licence to use the app on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules set out in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/). The app may also be used by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing where those rules allow it; Packcast Plus subscriptions aren't shared through Family Sharing.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or rent the app, or reverse engineer or decompile it, except where the law allows you to.

3. Packcast Plus and purchases

The app is free to download. Without a subscription you can plan one trip at a time, with the whole list builder, the weather, What didn't you use? and the reminders, with no time limit.

Packcast Plus adds several trips at once, templates, starting a trip from a template or a past trip, and Pack again. It is an auto-renewable subscription, sold in two plans with the same features:

  • Packcast Plus Monthly: £1.49 a month.
  • Packcast Plus Annual: £9.99 a year.

These are UK prices; the App Store shows the price in your own country before you buy. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial, once per Apple Account.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
  • The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account is charged for the renewal, at the plan's price above, within the 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple Account's subscription settings (on iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions) after you buy it.
  • Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.

If your subscription ends, nothing you've made is deleted. What stops working is what Plus adds: a new trip while another isn't finished, saving templates, starting a trip from a template or a past trip, and Pack again. To restore a subscription on a new iPhone, use Restore purchases in the app's Settings.

Purchases are handled by Apple, and refunds are Apple's to give: you can ask for one at https://reportaproblem.apple.com. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

4. Maintenance and support

Mirentha alone is responsible for providing maintenance and support for the app, at https://mirentha.com/apps/packcast/support/ and [email protected]. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to provide any maintenance and support services for the app.

5. Warranty

Mirentha is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent they have not been effectively disclaimed. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any, for the app to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be Mirentha's sole responsibility. Your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law are not affected.

6. Product claims

Mirentha, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the app or your possession and use of it, including: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation.

7. Intellectual property

The app, including its design, its item library and its rules, belongs to Mirentha. If a third party claims that the app, or your possession and use of it, infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Mirentha, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that intellectual property infringement claim.

8. Legal compliance

You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a US Government embargo, or that has been designated by the US Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (ii) you are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

9. Third-party terms

You must comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the app, such as your mobile network's data agreement. The weather comes from Apple Weather and places from Apple Maps, which Apple provides under its own terms.

10. Apple as third-party beneficiary

Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept them, Apple has the right, and will be deemed to have accepted the right, to enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

11. Using the app

Packcast's lists are suggestions, built from rules and from weather data. Forecasts and typical weather are estimates: they can be wrong, change, or be unavailable, and a place the app can't find has no weather at all. Check the list against your own needs before you travel, including medicines, documents and the entry requirements of where you're going. The app isn't travel, medical or safety advice. You're responsible for what you add to it.

Reminders depend on notifications being allowed on your iPhone and on its clock, so we can't promise that every reminder arrives.

12. Liability and governing law

To the extent the law allows, Mirentha isn't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business or goodwill, arising from your use of the app or from not being able to use it.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that the laws of England and Wales don't allow to be excluded or limited.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction: if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings there. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

13. Ending this agreement

You can stop using the app and delete it at any time. If you break these terms, your licence ends. Sections 5 to 12 continue to apply after it ends.

14. Contact

Questions, complaints or claims about the app go to Mirentha Ltd, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom, or by email to [email protected].

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the app changes. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version in force when you use the app is the one that applies.
